Taillion expiring contract and innings limit so trading him and promoting Schmidt to starter would have made sense. Instead they got rid of Montgomery (who they prob will have to face in 3-4 days), kept Taillon, demoted Schmidt, and put Severino to where he can't pitch for 2 months while he said he's feeling better? Just read that Clarke Schmidt is back in AAA. WTF is Cashman doing? So, we replaced Monty with Montas. We replaced Severino with German? I was really hoping this morning that they traded German for some minor league talent. I was shocked they dealt Monty. |

It's surprising that Cashman doesn't go on YES and talk to Kay and Paulie about these trades. He just leaves it all to Curry and Meredith.

Someone needs to tell Benentendi that it's ok to start hitting. He's been great getting walks and making contact, but he has only one infield hit that could easily have been ruled an error in six games. But it's still very early. |
