I'm trying to think of a trade made by the Yankees that at least on the surface was so inexplicable. Maybe we'll all be proven wrong and Bader will be World Series MVP. I remember Ventura being traded for Proctor and Crosby not going over too well with fans at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I loved the Ventura acquisition. Solid defensive third baseman with a solid bat and a penchant for grand slams. Cerebral player, except for charging the mound on Nolan Ryan. Ventura was a solid player. The Ryan episode was out of character, for sure. But the trade with the Dodgers did work well for the Yankees, who got some good years from Proctor while Ventura was at the end of the road. Hopefully this trade has a similar happy ending. |

Also not down 4-0 like yes this team comes back a lot but you can't just fall down these scores all the time. (As I say this they prob win tonight 10-4) the point still stands though.
