Seattle hasn't won a series vs the Yankees since 2016. Last time they won a series vs the Yankees was at Yankee Stadium 4/15-4/17 2016 when they won 2 of 3 They have not won a series against the Yankees in Seattle since 2011 when teams used to play some opponents 3 times instead of two. 5/27-5/29 2011 won 2 of 3. Seattle has not won a season series vs the Yankees since 2002 when they won the season series 5-4 (yet they swept the Yankees at Yankee Stadium in 2014, but got swept in Seattle by the Yankees later in the season.) W/o their two best hitters. Yanks pitching has taken a serious nosedive. On top of letting the woeful kc offense score 15 runs in that series. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, but think how rested Judge will be during the off season - the true genius of the Yankee braintrust.

I can't think of many instances where teams stopped a deal by making a claim.

Cole’s problem is location to start games. He is on cruise control in his mind and not prepared to start. Might need to warm up longer and get his head straight. He went in the dugout after the first and saw this on the pad. Came out like we know he can. There are some guys this second half that have not been into the games mentally. Boone was supposed to be the Mgr to prevent this. Unfortunately he is a problem also.

Max Scherzer has allowed more than three runs only once this season (four runs). Three times, he gave up zero runs; five times, he allowed one earned run; three times, he allowed two earned runs; and twice, he allowed three earned runs.

Montgomery was our best pitcher at that, something like 17 of his 21 starts 3 or less. Some things can not be explained.

I just do not understand the thinking when nearly a fourth of the season remains to be played and the starting rotation has been regressing.

Hmm, maybe so. A lot of weird things came around with Covid. I never liked the concept anyway. For many years the trade deadline was June 15, which to me was preferable because it discouraged more teams from selling off their players.

Yea that whole Verlander trade was ridiculous and really changed Astros history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trivino with a clean inning. Yankees need a walk, two bloops, and a blast.

Trivino with a clean inning. Yankees need a walk, two bloops, and a blast. Or eight bloops. Now that would be fun to watch.
