Was Jim Spencer there that long or was he gone by then? Yeah Spencer was my second guess but there were several after him. Lots of changes between Chambliss and Mattingly. I think Spencer went to the A's after he left the Yanks, may he RIP. The Yankees even had John Mayberry on their roster in the early 80's.

I'm trying to think of this answer and it's annoying me. Griffey Sr? Watson? Balboni? Hope this isn't a spoiler Chi but your first choice was correct. I recall Griffey playing some first, but my memories are of him in the outfield.

Schmidt has come close to a pitch clock violation several times.

I just read that Wally Pipp is third all-time for Yankees' first basemen in hits.

Judge's timing is just off a bit.

I'm more of a plain glazed donut fan but not too sweet. Krispy Kreme, though the origins are from Louisiana, are too sweet for me.

I just read that Wally Pipp is third all-time for Yankees' first basemen in hits. I wouldn't have guessed that one -- I might have thought Moose Skowron behind Lou and Donnie -- but Pipp was a solid player (and a polished raconteur) but obviously The Iron Horse was not to be denied.
