Rickey Henderson’s 0 AB, 5 SB day against Randy Johnson
Randy Johnson had walked 26 batters in 29.2 innings when he was traded to the Mariners on May 25. Rickey Henderson had a .392 OBP when he was traded back to the Athletics on June 21. The collision of wild rookie hurler and unstoppable prime baserunner occurred on July 29, 1989.
Rickey drew a walk on a 3-2 pitch in the first and proceeded to steal second and third before the next batter* reached on an error, thus allowing Rickey to score the A’s first run. 1 BB, 2 SB, 1 R.
Then leading off in the third, Rickey worked a full count without swinging the bat, walked, stole second, and scored the team’s second run on a double. 2 BB, 3 SB, 2 R.
Again leading off in the fifth, Rickey drew a 4-pitch walk, stole second, and scored their 3rd run on another error. 3 BB, 4 SB, 3 R. (The score was now 14-3 Mariners)
In the sixth, Rickey walked again on 3-2 ball by Randy (surely exasperated knowing what was coming), stole second even with someone in the way as part of a double steal, and scored on a double on the next pitch. 4 BB, 5 SB, 4 R.
It was 25 year old Randy’s 8th career win and Rickey’s only 5 steal game...

In 2011, when he struck 32 HR, Jacob Ellsbury hit more than 30% of his career HR… And then a couple years later stole a certain percentage of the Steinbrenner's money.

Harold Reynolds has a fun Rickey Henderson story. In 1987, Rickey was injured for much of the season, and Reynolds ended up winning the AL SB title with 60. After the season, Reynolds gets a call from Rickey and it goes something like, “Henderson here. 60 stolen bases? You oughtta be ashamed, Rickey would have 60 at the break.” Click...

While playing for the Padres in 1996, Rickey was the last to board the team bus. As a veteran, he had expected someone to leave him his own row, but there wasn't a full one open.
"No seats for Rickey?," Henderson said, standing in the front of the bus. "Rickey don't get no seat? Ain't nobody got a seat for Rickey?"
"Just tell one of the kids to move," Brad Ausmus said. "You've got tenure."
"Tenure?!" Rickey replied, indignant. "Nah, Rickey got 15 year!"
After everyone stopped laughing, one of the rookies moved, and Rickey happily sat down, proud of his Fifteenyure...

Can't personally vouch for its truthfulness, but I was told by someone who worked for the Dodgers who heard it from someone else that when Bobby Bonds was brought in for a tryout they told him they wanted to clock his speed from home plate to 2B. He stood at the plate, and when given the "GO" he promptly ran over the pitcher's mound and slid into 2B.

What is true is that Bobby Bonds has a brother named...Robert.

Eddie Collins had 2 six steal games and one 5 steal game, all in 1912. One of each was against the Tigers... What's remarkable about this is, Detroit's catcher that year was Oscar Stanage who threw out 40% of base stealers that season.
