Carlos Narveaz has become MLB’s 483 Venezuelan player. I think the first time I learned there WAS a Venezuela was on a Looie Aparicio baseball card. I just realized that I owe a significant amount of my education to Topps and those little cardboard rectangles… I wouldn't be surprised if Venezuela is currently 2nd only to the USA in the number of players in MLB.

Not a great moment in Yankee playoff history. I thought it was best left unsaid… 🤓 How much if any of your card collection do you still have?

If anyone was wondering...On that day, the Yankees won that game vs the Washington Senators in 11 innings.

I came from school one day and my mother told me she had thrown them out because I was ‘too old’ for them. More likely she didn’t like that they were in a shoe box under my bed. It was par for the course for me. I had little privacy and no rights as a child…

At least she didn't find your National Geographics...

I know it’s not “blood” but it looks disgusting and I don’t like the taste when not cooked out of it…
