I'm really officially out of baseball mode. The game is on and I'm listening but basically background. Being in last place in the East and out of Playoff contention hard to get excited on meaningless wins. Guess as Yankee fans we are spoiled that way.

Anyone ever played Skubal? Is it closer to golf or bowling? I meant to add that Peter, Paul and Mary released a song called "Stewball" in 1963. I think of that song when Skubal's name flashes through my brain. It was ostensibly about a horse who drank wine, although I assume it was a metaphor for some deeper concept like drug use. Sounds like the music was pilfered by John Lennon for "So This Is Christmas/War is Over."

My nephew in Pittsburgh went to his first game at Comerica a few days ago. He really liked the park for its sight lines, creature comforts and very family-friendly environment. Also very active in the area around the park.
You would have never said that about Tiger Stadium, loveable old hulk that it was. That place was designated a National Historic Landmark, but that didn't stop them from demolishing the place when it became convenient to do so.
