Here's an idea. Not!

Cash with his big splash for the off season. I have no idea who these players are, but I'm happy we won't see Jake Bauers anymore.

I actually believe there is a lot of merit in what the guy says. If you think of this in terms of what the take back would be, it’s an amazingly great idea. But… it would be a horrible public relations fiasco. Also, I don’t believe Cole will be opting out. He loves being a Yankee. Imagine where he’d be on the all-time Yankee pitching rankings if we had been successful in signing him when he can out of college. The way baseball “used to be” it would be hard to envision a pitcher like Cole already being on his third team at this stage of his career. It just wouldn’t have happened. Of course it would also leave a gaping hole at the top of the Yankees rotation, and would escalate the need to get Yamamoto. Now, if we get him, great. If not… we still have Cole. If you love the business side of the game more than you love the game and the players, you make this trade. If you love the game, you don’t…

Jake Bauers had been traded to the Brewers. I hope we got a whole bag of baseballs back… even if they’re used…

Not bad for a player that they were going to non-tender.

Not bad for a player that they were going to non-tender. That old Roy Clark song, “Thank God And Greyhound (she’s gone)” comes to mind… Keep peddling. Some of our best additions this year could be subtractions…

I'm sure it was painful for Cashman to part ways with Abreu.

The Yanks should try to trade Higgy or there won't be room on the major league roster for Wells.

Not bad for a player that they were going to non-tender. Well, shoot. After all the trouble we went to to unlock him.

This is how a big market team acts! Maybe they learned their lesson by not keeping Seger.
