Everytime over the last ten years or so when the yankees have said “ the price is too high to pay “ it had burned them one way or another . So tired of it . They go all in on soto but then as usual go cheap on the pitching . And then we settle for the scraps and make dumb trades like for Montas and don't forget the Donaldson trade. Still trying to figure that one out. That trade deadline set them back for years . Why cant people learn that you get what you pay for ? If you refuse to pay premium for premium and settle for less then you get lesser results . |

Thanks, Dome! I think Snell is nuts looking for those years and dollars… He's not nuts for asking. Somewhat delusional, perhaps, but not nuts. Now, if any MLB team meets those demands, and gives him a 9-year deal for $30 million a year...THAT would be nuts. '
I know that Boras works for his clients and not the other way around. But if he's asking that much for Snell I can only imagine what he going to ask next off-season for Soto and Burnes.

Smart move by the Astros. In my opinion, the Yankees should be in talks trying to re-sign Soto and or Torres. |

Those trades made no sense, but we don't know what players the Brewers were asking the Yankees for Burnes. Did the Yankees tax come into play?

And that is one reason why I was not as excited as some were at the prospect of getting Soto. At the old site one of my long time friends got annoyed when I was critical of the idea...but Boras is going to own more of the Yankees than Hal in '25. |

I'm glad that GM Cashman said No. Clipper That is baloney man. It’s only “Yankee tax” because this organization convinces the fanbase that every prospect is the next Mike Trout. In the end 8 out of 10 (am I being too generous?) of those untouchable prospects dont totally pan out . With judge and cole getting older and the line up as old as it is ,the worry should be focused on the here and now not in 2 or 3 years when jones is POSSIBLY in the majors . |
