Wrong song You got to know when to hold them Know when to fold them Know when to walk away Know when to run You never count your money… Chi knows the song. He can sing it to you. I know the gambler . I grew up at time . I only reworded the line to better fit my narrative that prospects are more of a currency than anything else Ok. Just remember there will be time enough for counting when the dealin’s done.

Every player, good, bad, indifferent. They were all prospects at some point…

Every player, good, bad, indifferent. They were all prospects at some point… Not Dave Winfield. When Winfield was still in college he was sort of a prospect in baseball, football and basketball. Just an amazing athlete.

Every player, good, bad, indifferent. They were all prospects at some point… Yeah and a vast majority end up being bad or indifferent

It’s a numbers game… Yeah they do but they are a small percentage of that group or have you not learned anything from the last 20 years? What I’ve learned has been over a helluva lot more than twenty years. It’s very obvious that you see prospects as all the same, and I don’t. You see no value in keeping the cream of the crop among prospects, and I do. There’s no sense in bandying this back and forth any further because we’ll never agree…

Because i dont fall for the hype that comes with every prospect like you and some others do . Its quite sad that people have learned nothing from history . Doing the same thing over and over for the last 15 years with so far no different results .

Nightengale!
On Sunday, USA Today MLB insider Bob Nightengale revealed an interesting bit of new intel on the possibility of the Yankees adding an ace soon. “The New York Yankees are still open to acquiring Chicago White Sox ace Dylan Cease,” Nightengale claimed.
However, there is a hold-up to a potential deal. “[The Yankees] refuse to part with prized outfield prospect Spencer Jones. They also rebuffed the Milwaukee Brewers’ request for Jones before the Brewers sent Corbin Burnes to Baltimore,” the MLB insider wrote.

And I probably shouldn’t bother to remind you that I have repeatedly said that no one is an “untouchable” to me… continue with your rhetoric…

Long term contract signed if we’re giving up premium prospects. No Jones, no Warren. No Hampton unless the ink is dry… then maybe…
