Oh, and the under-appreciated Gretchen Corbett. For the connoisseur.

Oh, and the under-appreciated Gretchen Corbett. For the connoisseur. Oh absolutely! I loved her on the Rockford Files.

A Wilmington DE girl. I think around that time I was admiring Lynda Carter and Lindsay Wagner. Maybe a bit of Cheryl Ladd. Cheryl Ladd was definitely on my crush list, except that she replaced Farrah Fawcett, but that white bikini episode sold me. Cheryl Ladd gets the horny police called on me every time. What a pair of… arms. Yes. Very nice arms… A pair of them as I recall…

Okay..."Barefoot In The Park" Jane Fonda! Come on, now?
Or, in "Barbarella."

I can't even put much thought on it because it makes me so angry. Fenway and Wrigley were modernized, so it could have been done. I look at it as a premeditated act of senseless vandalism that didn't have to happen. The same arrogant Philistinism that led to the destruction of Pennsylvania Station 60 years ago for replacement by a soulless hideous hole in the ground. Wow, that was beautiful architecture! I was so blessed to have come in to that station with my grandfather about a year before it was torn down. It felt almost like coming into Notre Dame Cathedral, at least to a kid. He took my brother and me to a Rangers game at the old Madison Square Garden (which would itself be torn down in 1968) and lunch at Jack Dempsey's (The Manassa Mauler alas didn't appear that day.) That one day has given me a lifetime of remembered joy. Around the same time that Penn Station was destroyed, there were plans to demolish Carnegie Hall. Fortunately the great violinist Isaac Stern led a furious campaign to save it.

Florial with a big double. Back to back doubles. We haven't seen a lot of that this year. In fact, it seems like the Yanks have hit an abnormally low number of doubles this year. Don't know if that's true, but it seems that way.

Even some of the high schools in America that have been torn down to be replaced with something more akin to a prison.
