I guess it's only fitting the last game at Yankee Stadium for 2023 is a Monday makeup game that a lot of fans won't be able to watch.

Yanks already down 2-0 in the first on walk, HBP and 2 run double. Threw 24 pitches before getting out of it.

In typical 2023 fashion, Torres takes a called third strike and Wells grounds into an inning ending DP. Kelly throws 35 pitches in the first and the Yanks still come up empty.

That first inning was unreal. 34 pitches to just 4 batters and we came up empty. Good to see Wells did a tad better the second time up today.
Florial co to yes to look like a potential MLB player. He would have had a homer today if not for the wind.
I’m house cleaning while watching today because I need to go to town today after the game and we’re traveling to Pueblo West tomorrow to visit some friends… busy busy…

The single negative that has shown up is that he has difficulty blocking balls in the dirt to his right, which had to do with him planting his right knee. He needs to get off that knee with runners in base. For the most part it’s not showing up in his stats, but he’s costing his pitchers a WP here and there. Boone seems to like him at cleanup vs. RHP… |
