Last night was the final straw for Santana, the Yankees gave him plenty of chances. Our long, regional nightmare is finally over.

I wonder if we might see more of Trevino who has caught 33% of attempted base thieves this year as we go into KC? Wells had done pretty well with 21% vs. the league average of 23%, but KC has some serious wheels on that team…

Running backwards without cleats in freezing snow, uphill both ways. He seems ancient but is only 34, which is about 51 in catcher’s age…He’s no longer catching full time. He got off to a crazy start this year, but he’s cooled off…

Probably could've gotten a lot more $$$ by testing the market...chose not to.

I once worked for a guy that told me (20 years ago for context) that he had discovered that he needed to make over $300K per year before he had to really “work” to spend the money… I guess at a certain point some people feel that enough is enough… For every dollar, a pound of sweat and stress…

Rotowire: Ace Gerrit Cole might be on track for his final rehab start before joining the Yankees rotation for the first time in 2024. He will get the ball on Friday for Triple-A Scranton up in Rochester, and take another step past the 57 pitches he threw on Sunday in Double-A. Manager Aaron Boone wouldn’t fully commit to moving Cole into the rotation yet after this—assuming all goes well and his elbow feels healthy—but the odds seem decent. (Bravo to Cody Poteet on his work, though! Seriously.)
