In 2023 the Mets and Padres had more resources than Cashman. How'd they do? The Dodgers had those same resources for years. Other than the shortened covid season, How'd the Dodgers do? With all the players they signed during the late 70's and early 80's How'd the California Angels do?
I didn't get an answer the first 2 times I asked. But do you care to tell me... Since Cashman was named GM of the Yankees...What MLB team has won more WS than the Yankees?
Oh, one more thing..Is it Cashman fault that he put good teams together, but those teams didn't get hot in the postseason?
. All three of the mets , padres and the yankees missed the playoffs, dodgers made the playoffs . Mets and dodgers have both been to more ws in the last ten years so far than the yankees have . Yankees have had higher payrolls both the mets and padres before 23 and never did anymore than the mets and padres in the playoffs . For over a decade no gm did less than what cashman was given until the mets blew that out of the water last year . That post didn't come close to answering my Cashman questions. Why is that? |

Watch, it's not hard...The correct answers would be...
1) That since Cashman was named the Yankees GM, no MLB team has won more World Series than Cashman's Yankees. The Yankees would be tied with the Red Sox (4). But no other MLB GM has won more WS over those same years than Cashman has.
2) No, it's not Cashman's fault that he put together good teams that didn't get hot in the postseason. GMs can only put together a team, they can't wave a magic wand and control when players go on a hot streak.

Cashman never wanted arod either . So to ask that question makes little sense since cashman had very little to do with those titles . 2) winning a ws is more than the hottest team its also the team that has the most talent . Philly has just as much talent as the braves . The rangers had more talent than the dbacks and were not the hottest team when the playoffs started , it was the orioles who won over 100 games , in fact the rangers came close blowing their playoff spot in the second half of the season . That belief that the playoffs are a crap shoot is a just a lousy excuse made up by cashman . The astros of 22 werent just the hottest team at the time either , they had great pitching that season . That pitching shut down a hot phillies team in the ws that year . |
