January 15,2021-Also, the trade talks between the Yankees and the Reds for Starter Luis Castillo break down, when the 2 teams can’t agree on which Yankees players are to be involved in the trade for the Reds young starter. The Reds had been asking for Yankees Current Shortstop Gleyber Torres, who Bronx GM Brian Cashman has refused to trade away. Other Yankees players mention in the baseball media were OF Clint Frasier and former starting 3B Miguel Andujar, as well several of the top Yankees Minor League Pitching Prospects such as Clarke Schmidt, Deivi Garcia and Mike King.
Clipper Yep, I also remember hearing that Volpe, The Martian, Peraza, Wells, were all being talked about in such a trade. yeah the yankees offered dominguez but the reds said no. They wanted volpe and the yanks said no

The bell rings and Max has taken the round… 🛎️
I'm not here for that. Recently , I said to a friend that's a member of this message board and mentioned how nice this board is and what a warm welcome we got from the members of this message board. I also mentioned that it was refreshing that even the disagreements were civil. Perhaps I spoke too soon?
Time will tell, Max. There are occasional times of unrest here between posters. It may be difficult for you to do, but my advice as a first line of defense is that if a poster is making you uncomfortable or uneasy is to disengage yourself from that poster. If multiple people are uncomfortable then they should all disengage. You’re not forced to read anyone here, and if you do you need not reply. If that person is trolling, and no one is engaging with them they will probably become bored and leave the forum, or they will have a smaller audience. Secondly some people simply have a low level of communication skills and simply don’t realize that they rattle people’s cages. We don’t know it they have medical or psychological issues. If the situation proves to truly become untenable and Kaybli senses we are being trolled or someone is not a fit he will ban a poster rather have the forum in turmoil. He is the person that created the forum and our sole moderator and just happens to be disengaged himself because he out of town this weekend. I’m pretty patient and try to steer people to understand how to be a poster that fits in so that it doesn’t become an issue. If that doesn’t work… well…

...my advice as a first line of defense is that if a poster is making you uncomfortable or uneasy is to disengage yourself from that poster. Exactly. Anyone who knows me from the YES board knows that I'm not the least bit averse to conflict, but over time I learned it's often best to simply ignore those who seem to thrive on it.

So now i am being uncivil ? At the very least you tend to be smarmy and insistent on getting the last word in. As you said to me recently “Ok bud”. Uncivil may be too strong of a word. But once the horse is dead, it’s time to stop beating it. You seem to want a big audience and for people to respect your beliefs. You’re not going about that the right way. Up to you now… I’m done. I will continue to engage with you but you get no further advice from me. Just do you and let the chips fall…

I've read all the posts and I don't see anything worthy of moderation or warnings. Like inger said, if a poster is annoying you, the best thing to do is ignore or block them. I'm pretty hands off when it comes to moderation. Only when it becomes a real problem to reading the forum or something flagrant happens will I warm someone. I've never had to ban anyone besides the spammers. We had one troll who quickly ran away when we outed his true identity (he was posting with an alternate one but we caught him).
We did ban political discourse because at one point it was getting toxic and we lost a couple posters because of it.
But carry on. You won't find heavy handed moderation from me.

As a long-time member of the Yes Board, I do remember some of the battles that took place there. We had an ignore feature that blocked out an annoying poster. I have enjoyed my time here and hope to be able to meet new Yankee fans and share my knowledge of Yankee History. I am glad to see that the moderators were quick to respond to this situation. Keep up the good work!

Clipper Thanks for joining our board, Clipper. Your knowledge of Yankee History is incredible and you are a wonderful addition to our community. We couldn’t have asked for a better-behaving group nor more knowledgeable group of people to augment our forum. Business mergers never go well. This one did…

It might be true but when multiple stories say volpe was the deal breaker , i believe it Let’s hope that Volpe proves to be worthy of that valuation. Already a gold glove to show… This is a big year two for Volpe. If he can make more contact and get on base more often, he'd could be the leadoff hitter the Yankees need.
