According to Suzyn half the team has various levels of stomach pain because of the exhibition series against the Diablos in Mexico.
Stomach pain as in a muscular ailment or a case of Montezuma's revenge ( Traveler's diarrhea)?  More of the virus variety… do NOT drink the water… |

I like Holmes but don't love him as a shut down closer. What a series. Great way to start the season. Yeah, they need someone better. Not sure who though. Tough crowd. He's 3 for 3 in saves and hasn't allowed a run. More saves and a better ERA than Hader. And, unlike the great Mariano, he finds a way to make thinks exciting.  |

And, unlike the great Mariano, he finds a way to make thinks exciting. yeah i'd cut him some slack for today. he pitched in 3 out of the 4 games and maybe was a bit gassed. may not be up to full strength yet. nonetheless perfect in saves. and we got to the mighty astros pen (including hader) in all 4 games. our pen hasn't allowed a run in i believe 15 1/3. our pitching which many of us had concerns about, held the astros to 11 runs for the series and that with some shoddy fielding. holmes isn't ideal but don't think they're looking to upgrade there.
gleyber's AB in the 9th has fallen under the radar. gets a bloop hit, then a huge steal which opens the door for soto.

What an amazing start to the season, sweeping the dreaded Astros to start 4-0! With the way spring training went, I wasn't expecting this.

What an amazing start to the season, sweeping the dreaded Astros to start 4-0! With the way spring training went, I wasn't expecting this. I was most impressed by how they were working their ABs. Took 21 walks in 4 games! Really encouraged by Volpe. If he can produce like this, I'd love to see him in the leadoff spot sooner than later. OsCab was the MVP of the series for me. Soto is as advertised. Great start, now let's keep it going in Arizona... |

Took 21 walks in 4 games! Really encouraged by Volpe. If he can produce like this, I'd love to see him in the leadoff spot sooner than later. OsCab was the MVP of the series for me. Soto is as advertised. Great start, now let's keep it going in Arizona... What makes the sweep even more impressive is Judge, Rizzo and Torres were a combined 8 for 46 with 2 rbis. WE know they will hit but it's nice to see other guys stepping up. |

The only one that doesn’t filter them is the RO… That’s actually possible but this system was about 8 grand. To do the whole system… priceless… sort of like $35 grand or something… |
