That's the trifecta of seafood I really like. Most fish is good...as long as it's cooked "right". I remember when Louisiana chef Paul Prudhomme was pushing "blackened" fish, which sounded great to me. Unfortunately, I didn't pay close attention to cooking instructions and 1st tried it in my kitchen. Did not go well... No way I'd ever try squid or octopus...don't care how it is cooked. Well, maybe if it was battered and deep-fried...like Rocky Mountain Oysters. That’s how I had the squid, calamari. Tastes much like shrimp, but almost feels like you could blow bubbles with it, very chewy. In my final assessment I figured, just get the shrimp… RMO’s are not something I want to sample. I saw a guy that makes travel videos (Nick Johnson) ordered them when he came out to Colorado. If I recall he liked them. He can have them. They showed them in his plate. They were not visually appealing… Anything that's best served battered and deep-fried is probably not very good served in its original form. I'd probably like fried calamari as an appetizer, just as I like Rocky Mountain Oysters. But I wouldn't order sauteed squid or bull testicles. BTW...what's the difference between squid and octopus? Seems to me the same thing...just shorter tentacles on one; maybe one less "eye"?

I still think the plural of octopus should be octopi, but it’s not… Squid are thought to be close to the intellect of dogs, but octopuses may be as smart as humans. Incredible creatures…

Elsewise, it's like eating breaded rubber bands.

How about some scungilli salad ? Sounds like something you’d find if you turned over a rock 🪨. “Look ma. There’s scungilli under this rock.” “there sure is, Bobo. Make sure you wash your hands when we get home.”….

"scooch"...as a derogatory name for someone, like Yiddish "schmuck".

I was relieved to read that they do at least remove the tubes. They look disgusting…
