I'm an NY Islanders fan first, but I root for the Rangers and NJD just as long as they aren't playing the NYI.

haha, I posted about my experience in the foodie thread:
"Reporting back from 4 Charles. Had the burger for appetizer, the prime rib and ribeye for main with mashed potato, green bean sides, chocolate cake for desert. In a meat coma now but sooooooo good. Well worth the difficult reservation. Highly recommended for anyone who goes to nyc. I may clog my friends toilet tomorrow with all that meat. 😂 "

No days off for the Yanks until early May. A's come in for a 4-game set, Yanks better take at least 3 of them...
1st game is tomorrow afternoon at 1:05 on YES. Carlos Rodon against JP Sears, who is 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA. 1st two starts were poor, last two have been excellent, and a pitching internet guru I read likes what he's developed into.
2nd game is 7:05 Tuesday evening, also on YES. Marcus Stroman vs. Paul Blackburn.
Vesey gets a feed off a won faceoff and drills it toward the net, it deflects in, and it's 3-0 Rangers. Mallenstein claiming he got elbowed by Rempe with no penalty called. The goal counts, 3-0 Rangers all of a sudden.
Picking up on the A's series...
Blackburn one of the best starters in MLB so far this season, 2-0 in 4 starts with an ERA just over 1.00.
3rd game is 7:05 Wednesday evening on Prime Delayed Video, Clarke Schmidt of the poor command will actually be opposed by a pitcher with even worse command than he has, rookie Joe Boyle, who 1-3 with an ERA over 7, and he's walked 12 in 18 1/3 innings.
The series finale is Thursday evening at 7:05 on YES. Nestor Cortes against frequently injured lefty veteran Alex Wood. Wood is off to a terrible start this season, 0-2 with an ERA of nearly 8.00 in five starts and 33 hits allowed in 21 2/3 innings.
After the A's the Yanks go to Camden Yards over the weekend for their first showdown series with building dynasty, the Orioles.

I'd root for anyone playing the Capitals, except maybe the Flyers, then I would hope they both could lose.  |
