I know it’s just Oakland these next 4 games, but IMO, we’ll learn a lot about this team. Great teams crush opponents they’re supposed to beat. Anything less than 3/4 is a huge disappointment

Maybe a tie? They say it’s like kissing your sister, but I never did that… They used to have ties in hockey. Almost no one wears ties anymore.

Thanks everyone for contributing to the game thread. Today, I went fishing with my old college roommate on his boat in the lake behind my apartment complex. Huge lake and explored a good piece of it. Beautiful day and had lots of fun. Had not been fishing since Sarah was alive. She loved to be on the water in any craft possible. Just read though the game thread, and I am happy to see that we held on to beat the Rays and take the series. Tampa is looking beatable this season. Yankees have not even come close to clicking on all cylinders yet. We won without an offensive contribution from The Great Soto. Gil learning to pitch at the big league level, and the bullpen bends but doesn't break. Time for a well needed shower!

Over time, I have learned to pick out timeless patterns and good quality to last many, many years. Are your ties extra-long, because that's what I need.

Anything less than 3/4 is a huge disappointment The Yankees just aren't clicking well enough on offense to blow teams out, but you're right, they should take 3 out of 4.

Big rain all day yesterday and last night. We both caught five each but threw them back, as they were all just under the size limit.

I wore a suit & tie 5 days a week for 40 years. My "wardrobe" today consists of t-shirts & shorts. I still keep a blue blazer and grey slacks to be used "just in case". Tie length...not extra long. I topped out at 5'10" and a lean, mean solid 165. Now...the years have whittled away a bit at the height, still 165 but not as solid & "redistributed" a bit. I've noticed the "rules" I followed (light solid color dress shirt, maybe a light pinstripe, with a coordinated tie) have changed. I now see wide pinstripe suits, checkered shirts & polka dot ties.

Maybe fishing for a compliment, but actual fishing for fish? Haven't tried it since maybe I was in grade school. Sounds like fun if you have good company though.

Our oldest son worked for one of the largest "financial management" companies based in Chicago. I was amazed to see him going to work in Dockers and a sport shirt.

I am, the culture is not good where I am at. There's too much doom and gloom, so it's not a healthy place to work.

Had to follow the last 3 innings on gamecast at the girl's soccer game, but nice win...even with the BP making it interesting again. Was really impressed by Gil today...even with a couple of gaffes. He has dominant stuff when he can control it.
It's really pretty remarkable to be sitting at 15-7 when we're receiving little-to-nothing from Judge and Gleyber so far. If they wake up, we should be in pretty good shape. 3/4 from Oakland should be the expectation. Onward.
