Gil turns and wheels to try to pick Caballero, but way overthrows it into center, E-1, Caballero to 3rd with 1 out.
Infield comes in.
Change way up and in, 2-1
Blows the FB by him down the middle at 97. 2-2
Spoils a FB up and away.
Rushes, flies open and misses way up and in for ball 3. Trevino did well to prevent the wild pitch.
Spoils a change low in the zone.
Slider turns and winds up outside, and Arozarena misses it for the K, 2 down.

Cutter high, 1-0 to Sot0. Sinker down and in, 2-0 Fb near the top, Soto pops a decent move on it but pulls it foul into the stands in right. 2-1 Curve stays high, 3-1. FB near the high outside corner fouled off. 3-2 It would be nice if Volpe starter taking pitches like lead-off hitter is expected to do. |

With two outs just focus on the hitter, Gil just gifts them a run for no reason.

FB not that far inside, but Palacios backpeddles quickly. 1-0
FB on the inside corner waist high, 1-1.
FB down the middle, swung under, 0-2. 97 again on that one.
Long at bat by Arozarena for the K makes this another longish inning.
Caballero dances off 1st making Gil make a too fast move without stepping off and draws a balk call to tie the game.
Gil responds by blowing the FB by Palacios at the top of the zone, K, inning over.
Gil strikes out the side, but the leadoff double comes around to score anyway, thanks to Gil's poor mental approach on the pickoff play and the balk. 1-1, going bottom 3.
18 pitches for Gil in the 3rd, 56 through 3.
Judge, Stanton and Rizzo for the Yanks in their half.

Gil gave up a run all by himself. Can't throw to second (probably would have picked the Ray off), then baulking him home !!!!

1st pitch curve drops right into the middlle of the zone, hit hard down 3rd, Paredes gets in front, can't play the hard hop, Judge reaches on the infield hit.
Stanton pops up a 1st pitch cutter to Rosario in shortish right, he moves a few steps toward the foul stands and catches, 1 down.

Curve on the back leg taken, 1-2
Sinker winds up just outside and Rizzo spoils it.

Two down, man on 1st.
Torres goes after the first pitch FB in the zone, low and away, and goes with it to right. Rosario must pull up on the liner in front of him, it's a single. Judge stops at 2nd with 2 down.

High cutter does the same on the outer 3rd, 0-2
Another cutter stays high, Verdugo doesn't chase, 1-2
Curve drops to the knees, Verdugo tops it foul.
Sinker outside, 2-2.
Gets a slider almost down the middle, and just misses under, hits a high fly to deep right center, Arozarena has to go back quickly and make a running catch on the edge of the track, inning over.
Top 4, 1-1.
