Judge and Gleyber with hits in the same inning. That hasn't happened since 2022. I would say it's quite likely that happened last year at some point or other. And good afternoon, nw.

Paredes gets a 1st pitch FB in the zone, low over the middle, and misses under, high pop goes to Volpe for out #1.

Verdugo fooled me, with his reaction I thought it was out.

Nelson is incorrect in his balk call breakdown. His back foot goes toward first but it also goes back. That is a completely legal feint to third.

Spikes a FB to Shenton on the 1st pitch, 1-0 FB maybe got the high outside corner, Trevino gets the marginal call for Gil, 1-1 FB in the same area, this one a strike, but Shenton misses it, 1-2. FB waist high, inner 3rd, fouled off and to the left. 97 FB just outside middle, popped to Verdugo in left for out #2.

Slider into the bottom of the zone is a strike to Rosario. 2nd pitch is a FB down the middle, and Rosario inside outs it to right center for a hit. Soto cuts it off and holds Roasrio to a 2 out single.

Throw over. Like Gil and the Yankees, Rosario should be running here at some point. FB at 91.5(!?) fouled off, 0-1 Slider bounced, 1-1 Change taken thigh high near middle for strike 2. FB up and in at 95, pulled foul. Is Gil losing velocity alreadY?

Nelson is incorrect in his balk call breakdown. His back foot goes toward first but it also goes back. That is a completely legal feint to third. You can also tell that the umpires other than Libka were ok with the move. U3, who has the best view of the feet, and U1, both didn't call the balk but rather "parroted" Libka's call. There is no way that Libka can see if the pivot foot went back from his position at the plate. Just an awful call.

Gil's his own worst enemy but he has great stuff.

They call another Balk on Gil claiming he didn't come to a full stop on the first 1-2 to Mead. Then he takes a change almost down the middle for the ꓘ, inning over.
That 1st pitch "FB" at 91.5 was a misidentified change on Gameday.
Bottom 4, 1-1. 12 pitches for Gil in the 4th, and 68 through 4. Should make it through 5 now, and possibly into the 6th.
Trevino, Cabrera and Volpe for the Yanks.
