Slider outside 1-0 Slider into the top of the zone, 1-1 on Verdugo. Wow. Verdugo gets away with one. Sinker at the knees, not called, 2-1 Sinker just low, Langeliers pulls it up hard but no sale, 3-1 Sinker just low, on the outside corner, and again Langeliers pulls it up but not as hard, and again he doesn't get the call, ball 4.
Very very surprised that Wendlestedt didn't call ANY of those last 3 pitches a strike, especially the 1-1.

Gleyber is a liability right now. He's forgotten whatever he appeared to learn last season, to stop trying to pull for power and go to the right half of the field a lot. Slider down and in for a ball to Trevino. Change outside. 2-0 FB down the middle, taken, 2-1

FB on the outside corner, maybe outside by an inch or two, 2-2. Good sequencing on a back door curve to the corner, but Trevino recognizes and spoils. Change on the corner away, and Trevino does the right thing, grounds it back up the middle, and it sneaks through for a single. Verdugo stops at 2nd with 2 down.

Trevino is quietly on a hot streak.

It’s easy with a two foot wide plate… Wendelstedt is either going to have to tighten it up or we’ll still playing when tomorrow’s game is scheduled to start… Yes no doubt Wendelstedt is emulating Mr Magoo So he's blind and has rabbit ears?!

Cabrera gets a fat Slider down the middle, but Cabrera takes a big hack and fouls it off. FB inside, but Cabrera chases and jams himself, fouling it off, 0-2. Tries to back door a slider, but flies open and it stays outside. 1-2 Slider down and in, Cabrera puts a decent move on it but gets under, flies out to Ruiz in center to kill the threat.
Top 6, 0-0. 29 pitches for Sears in the 5th, and 80 total so far.
Top of the order for the A's in the 6th, Ruiz, Nevin and Booker.

At least we finally made Sears work that inning. Maybe the payoff will come with the top of the order up next inning…
0-0 as the Hunter show continues…

Most of the A's pen is pitching very well this year, so it's not going to get much easier when they take out Sears.

Cutter high, 1-0 FB way outside 2-0 Why are you screwing around with this slap hitting speedball. Challenge him, you nit! Cutter down and in, 3-0 FB into the top of the zone, 3-1.

Fb on the corner down and in, a drop the bat zone pitch, pulled foul, 3-2
FB high, ball4.
I'm coming to the conclusion that Rodon might be stupid. You CANNOT walk that guy in this game situation. Let him hit a solo HR if you must, the odds are low, anyway.

Fb low to Nevin, and Ruiz has to be running here.
