I wasn’t in a position to comment at that moment but the play by Torres deserves applause. I thought he’d put the ball in his pocket, but he gave it a try and got quite an out for us… It was. Only Torres was crazy enough to try to make that play, and among 2nd baseman, very few coould've pulled it off. Brilliant play, though. As I frequently say, Torres giveth and Torres taketh away. 0-1 slider in the middle, popped to Wiemer in left, 2 down.

I was listening to the pre-game in the Bronco and hear her say the weather reports were terrible. Wind was whipping around and possible tornado warning. Seemed a little odd. Here in southern Colorado last night we were hit with a straight line blast at about 75 MPH during a thunderstorm that featured a combo of rain and snow for about 3.5 hours. More winds and thunder hail (small, soft hail, actually graupel) for about 2 hours today. We just call that a Colorado spring… 🤓

We are supposed to get thunder storms here throughout the night but it should clear up tomorrow morning. Just in time for my long run that I have planned.

1-2 slider outside is served to right for a single by Torres.
1-1 slider on the corner inside, grounded to Dunn, he flips to Ortiz for the 4-6 force. Inning over. Mercifully, they go bottom 9th, Yanks up 15-1.

It’s when he throws that ball away when we’re up by two that he irritates me…

Weaver at 26 pitches through 2, so positioned pretty well for the 9 out save, if Boone goes with that strategy.

Now, THIS IS A TRULY STUPID MOVE. Trevino, one of your two catchers, comes in to finish off this game Good way to hurt the arm of your semi-regular catcher.

Who is our emergency catcher?… I suppose it's Trevino, with a real pitcher coming in, but what if they collide going after a popup?
