Which leads me to...I wonder why the Yankees gave up on Warren as a starter? He's 30 years old now, and he hasn't started since 2016 when he had one start in Chicago. I don't recall what happened that led to his ineffectiveness in the Windy City, for he had been an effective swing man in NY prior to that and has been an effective reliever since his return to NY. Did he have an arm injury of some sort? Did the Yankees draw a conclusion that Warren couldn't handle the work load of starting? The most pitches he has thrown in a game since his return to NY in the second half of 2016 is the 46 he threw just a bit ago. Starting would require stretching him out. Perhaps the issue was that they felt as though he would be ineffective multiple times through a batting order? There is always a reasoning behind these decisions, but we seldom learn of it... I went back and checked his splits from 2015 when he had seventeen starts and I didn't see a pitcher that revealed an obvious fault that would say that he can't start. I'm thinking the injury or ineffectiveness in Chicago had something to do with it...whatever that was... THE MASTER SPIRITUAL GUIDE (INGER): IS RIGHT...why not move Warren to a SP? Thank you Great Spiritual Guide.
Just one move favor: MEGA LOTTO is up to $422 Million...please by tomorrow morning could you give me 6 numbers so I can get my folks in America to buy me a ticket. Trust me, if I win, YOU will get a "Taste'.
Adam Warren is 30 years old = a retread!!!

The spirits are angered at the suggestion that they would assist us with gambling. They have however advised me to buy a ticket, which will add to your prize, since I most assuredly will not win it myself. These are really some wise spirits, let me tell you. They were the creTors of the original Magic 8 Ball and the Ouija Board. They admit that both are a piece of crap, but with the money they made of it, they are still proving their wisdom.

The Indians picked-up two good Relivers. Going to make it tougher for us... Right now, if this was the end of season WE would be in the Play-Off Game. If we win that game, we would face up to a 5-game series than up to a 7-game series. WE would be facing either the Red Sox, Indians, Astro's (two of those). I have $$$ on the Yankees winning their Division (not looking good, at this point). But NO $$$ on them going to the WS. Out of my 4-betting buddies that have more $$$ than of us combined (even if we worked until 95-years old each)... Three of them at the start of the season bet that the Yankees would not make the WS. Only one did (a Fanatical Yankee Fan). I have won big $$$ from him in recent years betting against the Yankees (I use Facts, the Truth, Reason, Logic & Reality); while he uses his Passion. He has been pestering me for two bets for Huge $$$; meaning I bet against Yanks making the WS and than another one that the Yanks, if they make the WS do not win the WS. My Logic, Facts etc. are saying take the BETS; but, but, but...I am not sure. So, I turn to INGER; my Spiritual Guide (Who wanted to trade the majority of our roster for a Mets Pitcher--Even Jesus wasn't perfect). INGER: What is your guidance Master? Be patient while I summon the great spirits who know much more than I of such things. I will report back to you later to tell you what they had to say... The spirits also were somewhat angered that I bothered them for gambling advise AGAIN. They told me they knew that DOME was behind this, so they could forgive me. Luckily, one of them was in a good mood and decided to speak. He said that since the Yankees are only ONE of the three strongest teams in the AL, and that the AL is in general stronger than the NL the odds are only slightly in your favor. The spirit suggests that you coax the Yankee Fan into giving you at least some sort of odds in the neighborhood of 3-2 in your favor and then to go ahead and bet with the complete fool... The spirit has also suggested that you place a more modest bet with someone else that the Yankees will win, but to also coax them into giving you favorable odds (at least again3-2) because you are betting only on one team of many. This will help you mitigate any loss on the other, larger bet. The spirit also said that betting on a sporting event, or on anything else that you cannot control with certainly is a fool’s errand, so make sure not to go overboard on the amount. I love this new spiritual role. In fact, they have now offered to make me a dues-paying member of the spirit union. How cool ARE these guys???

With all of the injuries that are happening to available starting pitchers the Yanks may be doomed to utilizing their kiddie corps by default. Soon, all teams will. E using “openers” like tonight’s opponent...

Posted in the game thread as well, but looks like Yanks just got Britton from the O’s for Tate, Carrol, and Rogers. Unconfirmed on who exactly we gave up, but Tate seems to be the headliner

I like the deal. And while this is JMO, I think this solidifies that we won’t be adding another starter

Well, we gave up “The Tater”. I had great hopes for him, but he was a bit on the back burner for the Yanks...
Britton can be tough, really tough. You just can’t elevate his pitches. He should age well... ask Tommy John... (:

I see the RS traded for Eovaldi……. They did and the price Boston paid seems (not that I will pretend to have an informed opinion on the specific prospects traded) to be less than what the Yanks dealt dor Britton. From that I take that the Yanks either arent aold on Eovaldi’s resurgence this year or something about his last tour with the Yanks made them not want him back.

I wouldn't have minded a reunion with Elvodia if the price was low enough. Oh well.
