Frazier would be my first choice as well Utah...but he is still having post-concussion symptoms it would seem so cant count on him right now. Im just having a hard time reconciling running Neil Walker or Tyler Wade out there everyday instead of Aaron Judge during what will likely prove to be the most crucial stretch of the season for the Yankees. Im not saying they are totally screwed or anything but if you can make a move for a guy whose contract expires in 2 months then the asking price might be low enough that you make a major upgrade over Walker/Wade in the meantime (while waiting for Judge/Sanchez to return) and also have a great bench/platoon option down the stretch and in playoffs. Another interesting name is Adrian Beltre. Having a bit of a down year in terms of power numbers but an all time elite 3B defender which would be an upgrade over Andujar. Im not a huge fan of Beltre but it could work if the price was very low bc of his downish year. I really can't recall a player in recent memory with such bad luck as Frazier has had. Finally a moment presents itself where he could actually get a legit shot at proving himself with this Judge injury and he is out with concussion symptoms. I hope he is back for the Boston series and comes up with a couple huge hits. Romine had similar misfortune when he was about to come of age. Of course playing baseball is similar to any other job in that the most valuable asset you can offer is the ability to be there when needed. Frazier tends to be banged up quite a bit. Therefore Frazier misses his opportunities to show what he can do...

Crowded pen. He had to go. As I posted in the game thread, maybe Kanhle is close to coming back? This may also mean the team feels confident they’ll hold on to Britton

Voit sounds like a DFA candidate to open up another 40 man roster spot.

Voit sounds like a DFA candidate to open up another 40 man roster spot. Ueah. I was trying to figure out the motivation for the trade. Voit is sort of a big, lumbering guy. Almost what i’d call a fatty. BR says he’s 6’3” and 235, but I’d add a few pounds to that. He’s a guy who’s had MiLB success as a selective and powerful hitter, with some modest MLB success last season. He’s a IB and pinch hitter in St. Louis, so where does he fit in NY? Of course from what we’ve seen...since Walker has started to hit, maybe we’ll DFA him... ):

I just came on here to post about this . I was hoping I'd be first to break news so I could start new thread with BREAKING NEWS. Not because of Voit but because of the subtraction of Shreve!!!! FINALLY!!!!

I was hoping we would get another guy from the Cards who has no position for them who could DH for us while Judge is injured. The tall dude who's 30 n still has another 4 or 5years before FA. He has no position and really sucks at 1B... He's been riding bench since manager for fired I forget his name but he's a good hitter with no place on the Cards bc lack of DH

I was thinking what it would take for the Yanks to land him earlier today, more than Shreve and Gallegos.

Oh I know it would take more than that but I want him... Especially now with Judge out... I do wonder what it would take. He's a DH only... Can't play 1B to save his hyde. Considered the worst defender in all of baseball. NL not having a dh could help us out. Let's get it done maybe we can get a pitcher as well. Pipe dream but might as well speculate

He's also old so the team control factor shouldn't matter much. Lifetime 300 hitter... Think they'd take Tyler Wade? Idk what the Cards are looking for
