Boom! The real reason for this trade from the Yankees side was the international bonus money: That would have to be the reason for it because Voit seems like a poor man’s Tyler Austin and we already have Tyler Austin. He can hit for power but strikes out a lot and doesn’t walk that much which makes you wonder if he can succeed in the majors. And he doesn’t really have a position. So he seems like a throw in for a deal that isn’t really about him.

Another pool money deal. www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/07/white-sox-acquire-caleb-frare-from-yankees.htmlThe Yankees have sent left-handed reliever Caleb Frare to the White Sox in exchange for $1.5MM in international bonus pool money, Jack Curry of the YES Network tweets. This is the second time this weekend the Yankees have landed international money in a trade, as they acquired $1MM from the Cardinals in a three-player deal on Saturday. Expectations are that the Yankees, who entered this year’s international period with the standard bonus pool of $4,983,500, will spend some of their newfound cash on Cuban pitching prospect Osiel Rodriguez. New York will now say goodbye to Frare, whom it selected in the 11th round of the 2012 draft. The 25-year-old did not rank among the Yankees’ top 30 prospects at MLB.com prior to the trade, though he did dominate at the Double-A level this season. Frare recently earned a promotion to Triple-A Scranton, where he only threw one inning, after opening 2018 with a .62 ERA/2.24 FIP and 11.75 K/9 against 3.09 BB/9 across 43 2/3 Double-A frames. Earlier this season, Frare’s manager at Trenton, Jay Bell, told Randy Miller of NJ.com that “he’s starting to figure it out,” thanks in part to a fastball that sits in the 93-94 mph range. Frare will report to Triple-A Charlotte with his new organization, the White Sox announced.

Ueah. I was trying to figure out the motivation for the trade. Voit is sort of a big, lumbering guy. Almost what i’d call a fatty. BR says he’s 6’3” and 235, but I’d add a few pounds to that. He’s a guy who’s had MiLB success as a selective and powerful hitter, with some modest MLB success last season. He’s a IB and pinch hitter in St. Louis, so where does he fit in NY? Of course from what we’ve seen...since Walker has started to hit, maybe we’ll DFA him... ): Irritable bowel? Kind of harsh for someone who's yet to have an at bat in pinstripes. Don't lose you compassion, Inger. It's why you can wear a sombrero without questions. Irritable bowel? Are we naming garage bands again? If so, I'd go with "Twisted Colon"... No, I'm just being realistic. This was simply a trade to get cap money and to work on clearing excess talent out of the system while coming away with something. Anything. Voit may appear in uniform at some point, but if he does, he'll be a DFA and hit the streets...I was actually not that rough on him. Modest success at the MLB level isnt' something that everyone can have...nor is powerful and selective hitter in AAA...He's just soft in the middle... A man walks down the street He says why am I soft in the middle now Why am I soft in the middle The rest of my life is so hard I need a photo-opportunity I want a shot at redemption Don't want to end up a cartoon In a cartoon graveyard Bonedigger Bonedigger Dogs in the moonlight Far away my well-lit door Mr. Beerbelly Beerbelly Get these mutts away from me You know I don't find this stuff amusing anymore

Yeah. A first baseman, a 1B. Not even sure what an IB is...
But Twisted Colon used to open for Twisted Sister. They had some lyrical errors that stopped them from taking the spotlight away when they did:
We’re Not Going To Make It and I Wann(another) Roll

GOOD NEWS WE Did NOT get Hamels; Bad News is, we got Happ = OH BOY. MY BET IS LOOKING BETTER. Judge out for at least a month, if not for 6-weeks...SAD!!! That means everyone else in OUR Line-Up must ALL Step-it-UP, not just some, but a lot. Will CC still have his Stuff by Sept? Will Gray be the ONE we saw in his last two starts or will he go backwards again? Etc. Etc. Etc.... My bet is looking real good at this point. And even better once Happ gets ROCKED. Good call on Happ getting rocked

Already has...signed Oseil Rodriguez (O-Rod?), considered the #1 international pitching prospect this year.

Imagine getting traded from a team like the Yankees to a team like the Mets??? Addes: we should start a poll... Which MLB team would you hate to be traded to... Not bc of their record or the city but bc of public knowledge of their cancerous clubhouse??? I guess next could be bc city. If hate to get traded to Tampa bc the city is like a retirement community from what I hear... Gotta be the Mets or Marlins. Even after Loria is gone the Marlins still seem like they're being run by either incompetent ownership, or ownership that couldn't afford the competitive team they already had. I think Fernandez' death took a huge toll on that team but trading away possibly the best OF in baseball made no sense. The Mets are the same shit show they have been for ages. Tampa gotta be up there too, awful field/stadium, awful attendance and no hope of spending any amount of your career with them because ownership never pays the studs they develop. At least in Miami you get that beautiful weather and scantly clad women at South Beach. What do you have getting traded to the Mets? Chop shops in Flushing and the smell of melting garbage in the summertime.
