Yankees To Acquire Lance Lynn From Twins For Tyler Austin
Is Lance Lynn better than Adam Warren? I’m going to say no.

Is Lance Lynn better than Adam Warren? I’m going to say no. He's a starter. A sucky one though. Maybe they want more rotation depth? Who knows. Puzzling bunch of moves.

He’s not good at it. Warren could have been a started and I would bet if he were he could do better than a 5 ERA and unlike Lynn he would throw strikes. I don’t see anything to like here. Hopefully there’s a lot more to the story. Lynn = Meat Tray.

What the hell? Lance Lynn? Warren for cash? Something big must be about to happen...

I've been been on the Warren as a backend starter train, shame we never got him back to that. Lynn has good groundball rates and is K'ing 100 in 102 innings but otherwise it's been ugly. More to come?

The only good news about this is that trading Austin makes it very unlikely that Frazier will be traded.

yeah....it's puzzling...…….I get the feeling this is all there is....Cashman went to the third fallback option, and got a guy who is capable of pitching better than he has...after watching the first start of Happ, I am going to wait and see...

Twins are eating half of Lynn's salary, so that's a bonus. Will he relieve, or spot start?

Lynn has a 3.68 ERA over the last month and just threw a QS vs Boston. That being said, I'm not thrilled about him being on the team unless they think they can fix him. He has been solid the last 3 years until the Twins signed him. Maybe the Yankees think they can fix something in his game. Fortunately they only gave up Austin who I kind of get the feeling will end up as kind of a Quad-A type player.

The only good news about this is that trading Austin makes it very unlikely that Frazier will be traded. Well, there IS one more good thing, which is that Austin is gone. I think he’s already peaked...and Lynn is actually a better pitcher than he’s shown this season. Getting him for Austin was a bargain... As for Warren...we traded him away before and lived to regret it. It’ll happen again...especially since int. bonus money is not going to do a darned thing for our bullpen this late summer/ fall. Warren didn’t really have a role on the team, but he deserved to. I guess Britton has pushed both Shreve and Warren aside? I dunno...Maybe Warren peed in the whirlpool or something.

Yankees apparently still engaged with the Rays in trade talks for Archer. If this is their move for an "ace" I don't like it. Archer has been terrible this year.

I think it’s a combination of Holder emerging, acquiring Britton, and then the return of Kahnle
