I guess you missed the last few starts by our vaunted pitching staff. Or fail to consider you play good teams in the play offs not the Orioles or Col. We don't have a play off pitching staff. MN is making that painfully clear.

I think they are regressing to the mean. I don't think its a couple of games. I think by play off standards we have a week starting pitching staff (that is compared to other division winners).

We have given up 8 runs or more three games in a row. When does doing so cease being a fluke. Several teams we would play in the play offs have significantly better pitching staff. Our hitting might or might not make up for that. www.espn.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/pitchingWe will win the division with our pitching staff because of our hitting. We won't win the WS with it barring a lot of luck. It is simply not elite by play off standards.

After all, you don’t do that kind of stuff around here...

Anyone want to describe the good news in the link Noetsi provided? I would, but I do not want to appear discourteous.

Anyone want to describe the good news in the link Noetsi provided? I would, but I do not want to appear discourteous. That he apparently didn’t read it? That we have the 7th best ERA in MLB? That only 2 of the National League teams we might have to beat to win the WS are ahead of the Yankees? Nah. If not going to point those things out...

And, we are statistically in the same grouping as number three, as only the Dodgers and the Rays are significantly better. And, the Rays will be in third place after tonight. So much for not worrying about Boston.
