That's a lot of talent to give up i know... But I'd rather give up Loaisiga than German. Sheffield hurts but it's gonna have to hurt. Idc about Wade... We got Drury to replace Andujar... Frazier hurts with Gardy leaving next season...

That's too much to give up for a pitcher who can have an arm injury any day. And I don't think the Mets would ever trade him to the hated Yankees. Kaybli... Would you do that package if it was Andujar or Frazier instead of and??? Personally I would do the original deal just because it increases our odds so much this season and then next season we have a replacement for CC and can use Gray as a trade piece if need be... I'd do it if it was Frazier and the rest. If it was Andujar and the rest, it would be close, hell I'd probably do it, but would be worried about a DeGrom arm injury. The Mets would never do either though.

I totally agree. It sucks trading for a tor starter because you have to give up so much and pitchers are so fragile. I'm regretting cash not getting Gerrit Cole but who knows if he would have same type performance for us. But yeah mets are stupid and would never trade with Yankees no matter how much sense it makes

Andujar and Frazier would HURT but you really don’t need Frazier and Drury would be an able replacement for Beltre lite. Still,if we had deGrom and Sevy starting games 1,2,4,5,and 7, for 3 yrs,FUGHEDDABOUDIT 2 or maybe 3 rings. Next year we trade Stanton to Dodgers and get Corbin and away we go. No Harper(overrated) No Machado(bad D)

I agree about DeGrom over Cole... but the price is much less for Cole and the Muts would never trade with the Yanks

The GM has been a total disaster. They gotta revoke Aldetson’s credentials. 8 freaken year’s! Cash would go in there and trade both deG and Syn. Trading those two restocks the team

After Sonny Gray's performance last night, do you think Cash might be expediting his search for a starter? I wonder if he'll go lower with a guy like Marcus Stroman or take a flyer on Matt (I know he's a Dick) Harvey? Then again, the farm is so rich, why not go high? That's enough, obviously my medicine has kicked in.

That's enough, obviously my medicine has kicked in. One thing about Cashman is that there are seldom any moves made that even hint at panic. He’s certainly been concerned about Gray, as well as Tanaka for several weeks. Probably since last summer, actually. I think he’ll peruse the entire market, from ACE to dustbin. Then he’ll compare what he has to give up vs. what he can get. In so doing, he’ll be thinking about both this October and every game for the next five years or so before pulling the trigger...or holstering the gun...

I think Omar may convince the Wilpons to trade Noah or deG to the Yanks. At this point,Mets have nothing to lose. Sherman’s article in the Post tonite details how deG’s value will only begin to drop from here on out. He points to the mistake the Rays made with Archer. Can you imagine the blow back if deG gets injured while still on the Mets?

Report: Yankees a 'main player' for LHP Happ
Jon Heyman of Fancred writes that the Yankees "are a main player" for Blue Jays left-hander J.A. Happ.
Heyman adds that he's "at or near the top" of the Yankees' list of starting pitcher targets. Rangers left-hander Cole Hamels is among some of the other names that have been linked to New York. Happ, 35, has compiled a 4.03 ERA and 110/28 K/BB ratio in 102 2/3 innings over 17 starts this season. He's due to become a free agent following the season.
