IMHO, it’s been that way for quite some time with established players, which is why most of the trades in recent years either come out of nowhere (not what was expected or in line with media reporting, Encarnacion for example) or for unknowns that the Yankees believe have more to offer (Voit, Urshelabelievable, Tauchman). |
