When did it happen to him before? Boone said he's been dealing with hip troubles "for the past two year" or "past couple years" or something to that effect I see. That blows.

Inger- I want to throw something harder than a tomato at you... Torres for 1.5 years of a pitcher?

Yanks are a better team with Wade/deGrom vs Torres/Gray,Torres/Tanaka/ etc Seattle just lost their HOF 2B.
Second base is one of the easiest positions to fill. The Mets are not trading deG for Torres.

Still versus 6 years of Torres? I'll take Torres.

It would be like trading Jeter during his first season with the team.. it would be like trading Jeter for lets say Roger Clemens with 2.5 (sorry) years of control

Besides the Mets and Yanks would never make that significant of a trade

Yes. 2.5 years vs. 6. I would do the trade. DeGroms are much harder to come by than Torreses...
You saw Sonny pitch tonight...Compare that with having DeGrom at the start of this game...

I fear that DeGrom is going to suffer from TJS before the 2.5 years are up

I fear that DeGrom is going to suffer from TJS before the 2.5 years are up Do, DeGrom has TJS, and Torres gets a hip replacement...They can both be poster boys for the risks of trading one athlete for another...

I saw or heard somewhere that the Yankees had some interest in Moustakas to play 1B.......I know we need a 1B, but a guy moving to a new position?
I expect it is just another of the bubbles that get floated by writers......

I expect it is just another of the bubbles that get floated by writers...... I don’t think it’s too hard for most top-fielding 3B to move across the diamond to pick up 1B... so if there’s any truth to the rumor, I’d be game for it...i’d Still love to see Bird go off like a madman, but at some point, you have to pull the plug.

I should have added that Moustakas would not be MY choice. For some reason there always seems to be a Moustakas rumor connected to the Yankees. He’s a low on-base pct. guy who has not been consistent from one year to the next...Glove at 3B? Very good to excellent. At 1B? I’d expect more of the same...but why not a bat that plays better at the position???

Moustakas is likely to be traded by KC 2. The Yankees have a glaring hole at 1B It doesn't seem like a good fit for what we would have to give up....I would like to see the problem fixed another way...
