Trevino put on a clinic on framing in that 9th inning. Huge reason why we won was him stealing strikes and especially stealing that 2nd out

lol, Holmes still has a 0.00 ERA. Note to Boone, don't let Holmes sit in the pen for 5 days. All he had tonight was that slider, but it was good enough. When he has the two-seamer and the slider, he's lethal. He got squeezed on at least two to three fastballs up in the zone early in the inning. |

Yanks WIN, 2-0, get back to 12 over at 26-14.
O's up 4-2 in the 8th
Twins lead 3-1 bottom 9 in Toronto
Nats lead 5-1 bottom 8 in Fenway.
Looks like the Yanks stay 1/2 game back on the O's and will gain a game on everyone else. If So, they'll be 6 up on the Sox, 6 1/2 up on the Rays, and 8 1/2 up on the Jays.
Pacers have rallied to a 1 point lead with 2:26 left. Hart just fouled to get 2 free throws to try and give the Knic the lead again.

3rd star of the game: Trevino, 2 hits, and brilliant calling and receiving all night.
2nd star: Rizzo for both RBI, professional hitting on the single to give the Yanks the lead and turning on the Cutter in for the crucial insurance run in the 9th.
1st star: Schmidt for throwing the longest outing of his career, 6 2/3 shutout innings, 5 hits, 2 BB with 6 K. Outstanding game by him, both in a 0-0 and then a 1-0 game all the way through.
