Azocar PH for Tatis, down by 8. Interesting. Fb above and outside middle, 0-1 Chases a slider outside, 0-2 Slider misses, 1-2 Slider just misses low/away, 2-2 Takes a FB just below and outside of middle for no reason I can fathom, ꓘ, 1 down.

It's not on par with MLB offerings, but there is a good local BBQ joint in the concession area, and the hot dogs are solid (with good ballpark mustard, which is key). Can't go wrong with BBQ! The flavor is great, but honestly it's a bit messy for ballpark food.

Wade PH for Profar, why, who knows? Fb up and in taken for a strike, 0-1 Curve outside, 1-1 Slider taken above and outside middle, 1-2 Takes a thigh high FB near the corner away, why, who knows? ꓘ, 2 down.

Peralta PH for Machado, why? Who knows? Fb high, ball 1 Fb on the corner away waist high, swung on and missed, 1-1 Fb down the middle, swung on and missed, 1-2 Curve on the low outside corner, swung on and missed, K, inning over.
Gomez strikes out the side on 13 pitches in his 2nd MLB game, and the Yanks wrap it up, 8-0. Yanks move to 19 over .500 for the first time this season, 36-17. They stay 3 games ahead of the O's, and pick up a game on the other three East teams. Sox are now 9 games back, Rays are 10 1/2 back and the Jays are 11 1/2 back.

We've been very fortunate; when we lived in Colorado Springs, we were less than a mile from the now defunct Colorado Springs Sky Sox's Security Services Field, so we'd go to several games a year. Rockies AAA team was there for many years. Yep, that was them when we were there. Got to see a few future MLB stars go through there (we lived there 2007-2014). I remember being at a game that Buster Posey went 4-4 with a pair of HRs for Fresno about a week before being called up to SF for good in 2010.

Yanks have now won 3 in a row, and 16 of their last 20.
3rd star of the game: Stanton and Judge, for the tack-on HRs after Soto's blast in the 5 run 3rd that broke it open. 2nd star of the game: Rodon for 6 shutout innings, pitching his 4th straight excellent game. 1st star of the game: Soto again; 2 run HR in the 3rd, smashing Darvish's "invincibility" and setting up all the carnage that following, a BB and the double in the 9th setting up the last run in the 9th.
You wanna switch Rodon and Soto? OK by me, but I think the big play of the game was Soto's rocket HR, breaking Darvish's will for tonight.

Caught a few Sky Sox games there.
