Show of hands - who had the Yanks approaching 20 over .500 before Memorial Day weekend with no Gerrit Cole. Oh, just me? NOT ME!!! But I will take it

I dont know if Rodon pitching like this is sustainable ... His strikeouts are way down He's now a crafty Lefty like Nester. If he starts walking guys, that will come back to haunt him against better lineups. His walks are currently lower per 9 than his career rate, but his FIP is 4.41. Kinda scary…

Kaybli, I reached out to some old teammates to see if I can hunt down a picture. I was reminded that it was Teal not Acqua. I guess that makes more fashion sense!

Idiot fans booing a guy who was traded. He'd still be a Padre were it not for ownership. I guess anyone in a Yankee uni gets razzed.

Yanks have now won 3 in a row, and 16 of their last 20. 3rd star of the game: Stanton and Judge, for the tack-on HRs after Soto's blast in the 5 run 3rd that broke it open. 2nd star of the game: Rodon for 6 shutout innings, pitching his 4th straight excellent game. 1st star of the game: Soto again; 2 run HR in the 3rd, smashing Darvish's "invincibility" and setting up all the carnage that following, a BB and the double in the 9th setting up the last run in the 9th. You wanna switch Rodon and Soto? OK by me, but I think the big play of the game was Soto's rocket HR, breaking Darvish's will for tonight. Honorable mention to Santana for stranding Rodon's two runners in the 7th. With the way Carlos pitched, it was nice to not see him get those two runs tacked on to his ERA.

Soto left a note for Fernando Tatis in RF. What do you think it said?:
