Slider misses 3 inches outside waist high, but Isbel chases and hits a high pop back near the screen, Wells comes back, fights the sun the whole way, and catches. Inning over.

11 pitches for Nestor in the 7th, and at 88 for the game, he's almost certainly done for today.
1st quality start on the road for Nestor this year, too bad it came in a game where the bats got silenced.
Rizzo, LeMahieu and Wells will face the Royals main setup main, Schreiber, who the Yanks didn't hit when he was with Boston, if memory serves.

Rizzo's 1st HR in over a month.

Change down and in, topped foul off 1st, 1-1
Change misses well inside, thigh high, 2-1
Wells takes a huge hack, misses under and late on a cutter waist high, outside corner.
Change at the knees, pulled toward the 34 hole, Hampson has it bounce of his body, recovers, fires to the 3rd base side of 1st, and Pasquantino can't hold it. Has to be an error, not sure on whom.

Wells ball was 106.9, but that's an error. Happy for Wells, he deserves a break with hit BAVG.

Jones on the move, Grisham goes down to golf a change to the knees, outer half, lined to right center (backhanded) for a single, cut off by Waters, Jones to 3rd with 1 down.
Yanks get the tying run to 3rd for Volpe and hopefully Soto as well.

Volpe shows bunt, pulls it back, takes a sinker down and in. Schreiber looking for a DP grounder, no DUH there.
Sinker inside trying to tie him up, taken, 2-0
Schreiber fakes a throw to 1st, but if he stepped off, it's not a balk.
His step off is part of his pickoff motion, should be a balk to tie it up, but won't be called.
