Maybe they're the best two teams in the league, pres. Maybe more than "maybe". Really ? Bal has lost 4-5 in a row and is behind he Yankees Yankees took 2-3 from Cleveland in Cleveland and until recently and before all of the injuries had the best record in the MLB But injuries dont matter ... right? Ok, first of all. Enjoy the power of "maybe". And...the O's have injuries, too. 3 of their normal 5 starters are OUT FOR THE SEASON. |

Soto takes a curve on the corner inside, 0-1 Change stays high, above the corner inside, 1-1 Fouls off a slider at the top of the zone, 1-2 Gets a hanging slidere just inside middle, belted out to right, solo HR, and it's a 6-1 game. whoo-hoo |

Gets a sinker just inside middle, goes with it to fairly deep right, but Taylor catches up to the fliner on the track, 1 down.
Rice has to hustle to beat the throw back in.

Change misses outside, 2-1
Cutter misses just inside, thigh high, 3-1

Hopefully, Cole's mechanics (four walks) and inconsistent velocity were due to mechanics and not his elbow.

Wells will PH for Trevino, as the Yanks try to make a fight of this.
Young is the lefty coming in to face Wells. Slider 57% at 80, Sinker 40% at 91, Cutter 3% at 87.

Slider well outside, Wells doesn't chase, 1-0
Sinker above middle, he stays inside, hits it hard to Lindor's right, he dives but can't get it, a single, Rice scores from 2nd to make it 9-3, and Grisham stops at 2nd with 1 down.

Volpe takes a slider outside by 3 inches went around the plate, just like Ottavino's 1st pitch to Rice, called a strike anyway. 0-1
Slider into the zone up and in, fouled, 0-2
Slider down and in way out of the zone, swings over it, gets past Alvarez back to the screen, WP, Volpe mistakenly thinks he can take first on the dropped 3rd strike, but with 1st base occupied and less than two outs, he can't, the other runners can move up and do. 2nd and 3rd, 2 down for Soto.

Sweeper way outside, great diving save by Alvarez to save a run, 3-1
Sinker in the middle thigh high, Soto early and on top, bounces it foul, 3-2. Missed a good one there.

Bases loaded with 2 down for Judge, but the Mets can go to righty now.
