Verdugo... Takes a FB outside middle, 0-1 Fouls off a slider maybe at the bottom of the zone away, 0-2 Slider bounced outside, 1-2 FB high makes it 2-2 Slider low/away, taken, 3-2 FB is LOW, ball 4, and is called strike 3 anyway, 3-2 inches low on Gameday, 0%. Not that close, either. BAD CALL.

Stroman is pulled before he can register a quality start… I had my doubts he’d get there… Giving up 3 runs shouldn't be an automatic loss. I agree with you. Then Verdugo steps in and my faith waivers… another backward K… though it shouldn’t have been…

Umpires even working against Verdugo.

So we can complain about the bottom of the order but Soto was up twice with runners on and nothing so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You can't win relying on the same two hitters every game. The other guys need to step up and do something. Well that's my point lot the complaints I've seen on social media say no one gets on base for Soto and judge like it's some automatic run it people are on and they come up I just feel like the mentality right now is to keep moving the lineup until they come up and in a game where an elite hitter fails 70% of the time that's not realistic to have a gamplan like that. Volpe takes a FB in the zone down and in, 0-1 Takes a slider down and in, 1-1 FB just inside, Volpe jammed a bit, so his fliner to right of center stays up for Siri, 2 down.

Terrible call to the struggling and very frustrated Verdugo.

Now that the first six innings atd out of the way, could we please start hitting… and more importantly, scoring? …

Is there a chance Hal tells Cash that there are just too many holes to plug? Don't do anything major maybe make a couple low level deals so the fans think we are doing somthing. Sounds like Hal. Rely on returning players, ease of schedule, back into the playoffs… But the way we are playing there are no easy games.

Grisham takes a FB about 4-5 inches outside at the bottom, 1-0 Takes a FB about 4-5 inches outside at the top, 2-0 FB is OUTSIDE 2-3 inches, thigh high, called a strike anyway. Bad call, 0% on Gameday. Slider misses high, 3-1 FB in the zone below and outside middle, rolled over to Paredes, takes it to the bag, inning over.
Top 7, 3-0 Rays. J. Lowe, Caballero and Rortvedt for the Rays in the 7th.
8 straight Yankees retired. I said before they're mostly dead? I may have overstated. Boone tries to light a fire by getting ejected. Shouldn't work, but we'll see.

DeLuca PH for J. Lowe. Goes after a first pitch sinker above the knees, pulls it to Cabrera, throws him out, 1 down.
