Something needed pretty much right now to shake this team up, but Cashman will wait, not wanting to overpay, while their position continues to deteriorate, and that will raise the trade price anyway.

Slider backs up way outside, 2-0
Slider misses low on the backdoor, 3-0
Sinker tails well outside near the top, ball 4.
Is it against this team's religion to get a 1-2-3 inning, or something?

I dunno if it will really deteriorate that much the trade deadline is 9 days from now and the Mets and Red Sox are the only teams before then. I thought Verdugo might get run. probably why Boone took the argument over… Maybe he should have let Verdugo get tossed. Let the guy get it off his chest. I don't think losing an inning or two in LF is going to determine the race. |
