probably why Boone took the argument over… Maybe he should have let Verdugo get tossed. Let the guy get it off his chest. I don't think losing an inning or two in LF is going to determine the race. He needs to sit for at least 3-4 games… |

Cabrera, then back to the top for Rice and Soto.
Look, literally, this game is not over, I know that, but really, when Soto crushed it for the double play, that let the air out of the ballon.
Stroman kept fighting but doesn't have enough stuff left to shut teams down.
3 mistake pitches for HRs, a boot by Torres for an unearned run, 8 in row retired in the middle innings? All Signs of a team that's quit on the game.
Not only were their two outs and nobody on for all runs the Rays scored after the leadoff HR in the 1st, but they had two strikes on a hitter with 2 outs before giving up all 4 runs, and ahead on the count, too.

That's a DP ball swing right there if he made contact.
Change tailing to the corner away, if it stays fair that's also a DP ball, but he pulled it foul, 1-2
Change tails outside, he takes it, 2-2
FB misses outside 3 inches near the top, 3-2
Can't send Cabrera here down by 5, I suppose.
