Verdugo is kind of just useless now. Hopefully Martian will take over in September. Untimely injury, or he could have started all season long. |

Seeing those pictures of Nettles reminds me that today is his 8oth birthday. Happy Birthday Graig Nettles!!! Wow! Seems like yesterday, I was watching him put on a show at third in the entire 1978 playoffs and World Series. He was so great down there at third base. |

Gets a FB near middle, foul tips it into the mitt for the K.
Nowhere close to "the hands" Paulie, just inside the middle of the plate, 1 down.

Takes a cutter inside thigh high, 2-0
FB in the zone down and in, Schneeman is under it, pops it to Judge in shortish center, 2 down.

It's almost like piling on with DJ now, but how can they still be giving him at bats now? I'd prefer just to see Rice stay there and continue to learn how to play at this level. With a left-handed first baseman, Rice likely makes that awkward catch on the bad throw from the pitcher. |

Curve hands just up and outisde, ball 1. Close, but 0% on Gameday
Change to the knees, outer 3rd, taken, 1-1
Change misses low in the middle, taken, 2-1
Starts on a cutter well inside, can't check, 2-2
Change well low near middle, nubbed off the end of the bat, swinging bunt to the left side, Weaver has no shot, but scrambles and falls down, no play, infield hit. Another non-1-2-3 inning for the Yanks. Must be against the pitchers' religion to have a 1-2-3 inning.

The infield hit cleasr Rocckio for then 8th.
Change low in the zone outside mddle taken, 0-1
FB inside corner thigh high, under it, pops to DJ halfway down the line at 1st, he drifts into foul ground, catches, inning over.
Bottom 7, 3-3.
Peraza, then back to the top for Torres and Soto for the Yanks in their half of the 7th.
