How many more years are we stuck with LeMahieu? Hopefully he retires. He is cooked.

Verdugo, Benintendi, Ellsbury. Outlier is Johnny Damon. Benintendi got off to bad start with the Yanks, but was red-hot when he got injured, ending his season. Takes a slider low in the middle, ball 4. He did have a good ten-game streak before the injury.

DJ now has a .514 OPS. There's many AAAA-type players that could match that with regular playing time. Stop pissing away ABs on him.
I guess it's too pie-in-the-sky to hope he could bow out semi-gracefully and retire this winter.

Only Ramirez and Gimenez have faced Cousins, both are 0-1.

B. Naylor is the ghost runner. Shows bunt, takes a strike on the corner away. Slider inside, bunted down the 3rd base line, rolls off the grass but stays fair anyway, nothing Cabrera can do but take a bite out of it. 1st and 3rd, nobody out. Middle infield back, as if the Yanks can get this run back off of Clase in the bottom of the inning.

Kwan takes a slider down the middle, thigh high, 0-1 Fouls a waist high sinker off, 0-2 Takes a slider down and in, 1-2 Slider near the corner down and in hammered down 1st but well foul. Rocchio goes, the sinker misses outside, Wells bluffs, but holds the ball, 2nd and 3rd, nobody out. Infield comes in now. Another slider down and in, fouled. Sinker outside, fouled off. Need an at-em ball right here.

FB above the top, fouled off again. FB above the top, inner half, fouled Not only is Kwan staying alive, he's pulling Cousins' cork for Ramirez, even if he doesn't walk here. Slider way down and in, Wells makes a good backhand stop to save the wild pitch.

Good job by Wells on that ball in the dirt and skipped on the plate.

Kwan chases a terrible slider down and in. Tries to go on tne counced slider, but Wells tags him before he can get away from home, to complete the K, 1 down. Yanks obviously IBB Ramirez, he's 'the big guy' for the Indians, but... That puts the bases loaded walk in play and Naylor is pretty damm dangerous his own self.
