I haven't followed this case closely but I'm pretty sure the interpreter/business manger admitted he stole from Ohtani and used his money to gamble and pay off the debts. I would think that's part of the reason Ohtani has been cleared of any wrong doing.

Since I don’t live a fast and loose life and have little interest in the law, I had no knowledge that such an act was illegal… Thanks for enlightening me… It's not my quote....it's from another's previous post. Like you, I had no knowledge that such an act was illegal… Gotcha’…

I think with the fat bases and rule changes, stolen bases have become overrated. Heck, Judge is 10 for 10 this season stealing bases. One should also consider that Judge moved to CF this year so Soto could play RF, thus improving the Yankees overall team significantly. Defensive innings played: Judge 949 Ohtani 0 Put Outs: Judge 249 Ohtani 0 Assists: Judge 4 Ohtani 0 Errors: Judge 0 Ohtani 0 (Hey they're tied here)

Judge plays the whole game with the wear and tear that comes with it. Ohtani sits in the dugout waiting to hit. It might seem harsh but I don’t believe a DH should be considered for MVP.

Besides when he’s pitching, he’s played 8 innings in the field in his career. His CAREER! … He is doing things no one else has done, but he’s no Babe, and he’s no Judge either…

IMO it is as if you voted for a guy who only played games after the AS break...just not the same thing as doing it for a full season.

I wonder how good he’d be in the field? … He did play OF in Japan, and Ruth didn't pitch once he got to the Yanks. Not that Ruth couldn't. In 1933 the 38 year old Babe pitched one game for the Yankees. A complete game win over the Red Sox !I think it was the last game of the season and Babe just wanted to remind them of who he was.

I'm sure Ruth would have continued to pitch if there was a DH option in his day, but he had to play the OF too.
