The days off should help the bullpen. Yankees schedule lately looks similar to an NBA/NHL schedule. 5 off days, then they play a game and were off the next day. Played another game, then had another day off before playing 2 straight games. Now they are off until Monday. Yes, they could get away with it in the ALDS, but the ALCS is back to the usual 2 games at the Stadium, travel day, 3 consecutive games, travel day, 2 games at the Stadium. So unless they can wrap up the ALCS quickly, they're going to have to find ways to give them days off in the next round, or they might burn out, as they did late in the 2017 ALCS. Don't get me wrong, the days off will help. But yes, good starting pitching is key.

Battologize your heart out about the lack of strategic baseball, Russ. I’m listening…although we haven’t seen anyone win with the strategy at least a few teams, like KC, are joining the playoff ranks with the new version of contact baseball…

...hitting has declined so comprehensively. The primary reason hitting has declined is that pitching has "improved".

There was a successful squeeze bunt by the Guardians yesterday, and by a player who had homered in his last AB.

Numerous reports are that the Pohlad family is selling the Minnesota Twins. The asking price is about $1.5 B. Is anyone on the board planning on making an offer ?

Do you get the stadium too? I got a phone call out to get all the details... There is no listing on Zillow. I'll put out an update when I know some more.
