kinda surprised that more times writers favored the yankees. i haven't seen any odds, but have to think the dodgers are slight favorites. the dodgers lineup is deeper especially if freeman comes back. they'll provide a bigger test than cleveland. because of the dodgers injuries, think we have better starting but they a better bullpen. if we play our best baseball we can win. judge has to be judge. doubt stanton will be mvp 3 series in a row. the lefty be it wells or jazz has to provide protection for him. and jazz in particular needs to finally start hitting. Vegas odds are Dodgers -130, Yankees +110. Yankees being slight underdogs sounds about right since the Dodger beat them 2 out of 3 this season.

Stroman IS in according to the post article, but it also has 27 players which is 1 too many... Don't know who is actually left out

I think I'd have kept Berti over Grisham, too. Maybe Boone envisions replacing Soto with Grisham if the Yanks have a close lead in the late innings, with Judge moving to right...but he hasn't done it yet, and they've had multiple close leads late on the road already: games 3 and 4 vs. KC, games 3 and 4 vs. the Guardians. I mean, you could want someone who's a lefty to PH against all those righty relievers, but there's no one on the rosters to PH Grisham for who isn't a better hitter than he is. I mean they have Dominguez to pinch-run, I get that, but Berti is the more savvy veteran runner, and a better basestealer, and is much more versatile than Grisham. I can see keeping Dominguez to try in left if they're down 3-1 and Verdugo ia 1-15 or something, but the uses of Grisham on this roster in the postseason are very limited. Maybe they feel Cabrera makes Berti redundant, I don't know.

I'll probably think of little things to add along the way that I left out. One is this. My pick of the Dodgers is predicated on the "Cole who is" right now, not the "Cole who was" or the "Cole who might be". If he comes out there with all of his stuff tonight and in game 5, then that changes things dramatically. It's just that we haven't really seen that Cole yet this postseason, not even in the solid game 4 against the Royals, where they hit hard shots all over the field, but a lot of them were at-em balls. If he gives up a lot of hard shots to the Dodgers, some of them are going to wind up in the seats. Oh, and even if the Dodgers beat him up, he STILL won't be responsible for "killing the season". The Dodgers have a great lineup and can do that to any pitcher. Except maybe Darvish. You can't kill a season that winds up with an AL pennant.

I think it's too risky to take Soto out of the close game, the bat is just too lethal, as we've seen before.

Fletcher is legitimately awful. He called a Yankee game not long ago that had multiple gross miscalls; pitches 4-6 inches out of the zone called strikes and one or two 90-100% in the zone called balls.

It was just announced that Evan Phillips will not be on the World Series roster for the Dodgers. He's being replaced by Brusdar Graterol. That's a pretty big loss for LA's bullpen.

The only reason the Yankees lost in 1981 was because Reggie and Nettles were hurt, both either missed most games or played hurt. This Yankees team is at 100%, while Dodgers' starters are either mostly hurt or on the IL. This year: Yankees in 6. Break out the champagne!

Phillips, really? He was pitching great for them again. Did they say if he's hurt? Never mind, I'll check myself. Arm injury in game 6 of the NLCS. Too bad for him. Also Kiermaier taken off the roster.
