I was excited to go to my first ever WS game ... then I looked at ticket prices.  Do you need a small bank loan to cover the ticket? |

Iād much rather play the Dodgers. Mets have that mojo going, and it would be an all time nightmare if we were to lose to them. The Dodgers lineup is harder to pitch too, so I'd rather face the Mets. |

don't buy the losing to the mets would be the first worse thing in the world mentality. i may be a rare yankee fan who doesn't have this deep rooted hate of the them. when they first came on the scene, they were these bumbling bunch of losers. hard to hate. later during their 2 championship seasons, when the yankees had bad teams, rooted for them because i rooted NY. of course, if we play them, wanna bury them but not because i hate them. ultimately think the yankees getting to sleep in their own beds and having an easier travel schedule is more important than met fans having bragging rights. losing to the red sox in 2004 was much worse.
on a baseball level, think the dodgers lineup is scarier.

Here is something to think about regarding the Mets: In 9 games and 213 plate appearances versus Gerrit Cole, the Mets have an OPS - as a team - of .994, with a BA of .321, an OBP of .382, and SLG of .611. By far, the worst results against any team in MLB for Cole's career.

I was excited to go to my first ever WS game ... then I looked at ticket prices. How many thousands per ticket? So it's like $800+ for the worst seats. That's normally how much it costs behind the plate!!! Those swanky tickets are going for like $9,000 lol. So does one really want to sit last row and pay $800 just to be at a WS? Not to mention I don't own a car so I'd have to rent one for the day. No way I'm sitting on the subway for an hour and 45 to get there. Maybe they'll come down in price. Doubt it. |
