I paid nearly 30 bucks for a chicken bucket when I went to Game 2 of the ALCS! Greedy bastards!!! The price gauging is by 3rd party ticket sales like stub hub, seat geek, etc. They buy up tickets and sell them for big bucks… especially during the post season. IMO… It’s legalized scalping. Some season ticket holders will also sell tickets as a way to pay for their season seats. Regular season games you can sometimes get a good deal. A lot of the Legends, Championship and box sections are corporate owned. I get tickets through my partners company. Our regular season seats are in the Legends section. For the playoffs we get bumped up to less expensive seats, which see doesn’t seem fair to me since the business pays for alot for the season ticket plan. Yes… greed is a horrible thing… but the Yankees are not the only greedy parties.

I was excited to go to my first ever WS game ... then I looked at ticket prices. It stinks when the average fan gets priced out.
Yes average fans are priced out… it’s like that for most sporting events and concerts. A good seat for most any big show will cost you a mortgage payment or down payment on a house. I was looking on stubhub… I saw tickets behind the Yankee dugout for 18k each.

Do teams in the playoffs have to share ticket revenue with anyone besides the team they are playing? I don't know.
I wonder what they are charging for parking?
$55 It may be more for the post season. Parking lots around the stadium are owned by the city. Before they built the new stadium we use to pay $8.00 to park in the Macombs Dam lot… which is now a state of art track and soccer field.

dodgers are gonna be tough. their offense scares me. our pitching is gonna have to really step up. shohei & betts may not be soto & judge, but they have so many more weapons than we do. one the chink in their armor may be starting pitching. let the games begin. The marquee of Judge and Ohtani… 2 mvps coming together in the World Series, is a dream come true for MLB. It should be exciting! I don’t really follow the Dodgers or the NL but I like our line up of Torres, Soto, Judge and Stanton and Rizzo. Even Verdugo has contributed, after a horrible regular season. It all really comes down to the starting pitching… as we’ve all seen, our guys know how to work a pitcher. Just watching Soto’s 3 run home run vs Gaddis shows what a savage he is! Lol!

I am grateful that the games will be available on "free" television. My fear is that soon they won't.

I understand you have to have cable with a plus package to get YES or access it by an app which is not without cost, but at least the price of a game is less than what is paid for to get a cup of Starbucks coffee. My fear is that the WS and perhaps a lot of other events will cost be on a pay per view basis with charges that fall in line with prize fights or similar events.

I get annoyed with games on Prime, apple and all this streaming stuff. I’m old school, I just want to turn on the TV and watch the games. I don’t want to jump through hoops with logons, passwords or pay anymore money than we already pay for cable.

I rely on that site, because being on permanent disability, I can't even afford a regular TV to watch the "free" Fox games...it's stream or nothing...and I need my Yankees or I'll really go bonkers! LOL

Watch this while we wait for this year's World Series. The greatest team I ever saw.
