Muncy takes a curve down and in, ball 1. Muncy hasn't had a big hit...yet. Muncy = Home run…..Walk……Strikeout.

Schmidt taken out; Dodgers took advantage of his poor command from the 1st pitch. 68 pitches, 2 2/3 innings, just 2 hits, and 3 K's, but 4 BB, and 3 runs allowed, with 3 runners on base for Mark "Swing and Miss Stuff" Leiter, Jr.
He has to get Smith right here to keep the deficit just 3.

If we get out at 3-0 we will be lucky. Though at 3-0 things look bad

Curve way outside, taken, ball 1. Cutter above middle swung under, 1-1 Curve turns left, misses outside near the top, 2-1 Crowd groans, but it missed clean. Hangs the splitter high over the middle, ball 3. Pray for an at-em ball on this sinker, people.

So far...Series hero: Freeman, series goat: Boone. Cortez move the turning point of the series...notice how the Yankees have played ever since that game. That move totally deflated the bubble.

Leiter comes set, then steps off. Cutter barely misses outside, but Leiter got a break, 3-2. O% on Gameday by an inch. Splitter dives in on Smith, ties him up completely, his tapper back to Leiter, who goes down to a knee to make sure it doesn't get through the wickets, gets up, flips to Rizzo, inning over. Catastrophe averted, leaving the Yanks a shot to get back in this one.
Bottom 3, 3-0 Dodgers. Trevino, Verdugo, then back to the top for Torres for the Yanks in the 3rd.

Let's hope the Dodgers' failure to do more damage there comes back to bite them. It always seems to bite us when we do it.

Only good thing here is that Buehler had a long time on the bench and the Dodgers got just 1 run out of it. The bad thing is the hitters that are due up this inning. Oh, and another idiot in-game interview.

Well, I made it here after all, but we better get off our rear ends and start pounding the ball. I want a 7 run inning soon…
