So the bottom line...are the Dodgers this good, or the Yankees this bad? Because I saw both, the Mets and the Padres, play these guys tough, bouncing back when the Dodgers beat up on them.

Not a good night for the starting pitcher when your out of the game before your catcher even hits.

Cutter up in the zone, spoiled Maddux sinker inside corner, below the waist, Verdugo stares at it spills back to the corner, fooling Verdugo, ꓘ, 2 down.

We’re that cold and the Dodgers are that hot, I believe… Could be. Also...that first game collapse took a lot of the life out of the team.

Torres takes a FB below and outside middle, 0-1 Cutter misses outside thigh high, 1-1 Takes a curve low and outside, 2-1 Takes his timeout. Fb misses up and in, 3-1 FB at the knees outside corner, not called, Torres got a break on that one. 10-20% on Gameday, not called. Another walk for Gleyber.

Well, I made it here after all, but we better get off our rear ends and start pounding the ball. I want a 7 run inning soon… You’ll be our good luck charm

How difference the series looks if Nestor pitches on the outside of the strike zone against Freeman. I agree...whether players choose to admit it or not, what happens in a first game CAN make a difference, and set the tone for the rest of the series...which only makes taking Cole out so early, that much bigger a blunder for Boone, looking back.

Takes a curve outside, ball 1. Curve into the top of the zone, rolled over to Freeman, steps on 1st, inning over.
Top 4, 3-0 Dodgers. Relatively easy inning for Buehler in the 3rd, plus he clears Soto out for another 2-3 innings. 16 pitches, 53 through 3 innings.
7-8-9 for the Dodgers in the 4th: Lux, K. Hernandez and Edman.
