I never appreciated Ichiro all that much, mostly because I had read that he was extremely focused on himself vs. the team. If they got shutout 1-0, but he got his two hits, he was happy. If they lost 11-5, but he got his two hits, he was happy. If they won 9-0, but he didn't get a hit, he would mope...
The talent was amazing, but he didn't like to walk, he wanted those two hits...Sumbitch got them most of the time, too...He was also a very good outfielder and base thief. I suppose he had a right that ego...

Wow, these Phillies remind me of NBA players with they way the mouth off about their manager. Someone should remind them that they were a big pile of suck last year, which is why they now have a new manager in the first place. |

I'll admit it. When he was stumbling around like a bum in Spring Training I was thanking my lucky stars the Yankees didn't invest in his steaming pile of crap...Now...Not so steaming...at least not with crap...Amazing talent...

When he was stumbling around like a bum in Spring Training I was thanking my lucky stars the Yankees didn't invest in his steaming pile of crap...Now...Not so steaming...at least not with crap...Amazing talent... He's been real fun to watch. Even though I have some sour grapes from him not wanting to come to the Yankees, I'll still root for him. Ohtani Fever! |
