I agree 100% Utah. I still don't think the Yankees were actually interested unless it's a 3way (giggity) with Machado going to say the Dodgers and the Yankees getting one of the Dodgers pitchers. I'm just using Dodgers as an example because they were in on Manny maybe the O's really want (just example) Frazier from us..
Most likely the Yankees and Red Sux are just driving prices up for other teams...
Utah.. You and I pretty much said same thing.. If sux wanna get rid of good players with team control for a Manny rental.. Have at it.. Makes them weaker in the long run and there isn't really a good history of teams signing a rental the off-season after they trade for him... The player usually just goes after the money

Ichiro pulls a Bobby Valentine [img class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif" alt=" "] :
Ichiro Suzuki sits on Mariners bench wearing a fake mustache
Just who was that guy sitting on the Seattle Mariners bench, the odd fellow with the bushy mustache, shades and a hoodie?
Wait a second -- it was Ichiro!
Now a team executive, Ichiro Suzuki donned a Bobby Valentine-style disguise and sneaked into the Seattle dugout Thursday to watch a bit of the action at Yankee Stadium.
How'd i miss this post hahahaha

His free agent counter part from that dreaded off season is chillin' at home... well, two of them really. I originally meant Ellsbaby.. but then I thought about Cano

Remember Jeremy Bleich, the 1st round pick in the 2008 draft by the Yankees? He made his major league debut for the A's last night, giving up 2 runs without recording an out.

As I recall, Bliech was more about pitchability than high octane stuff. He’s at least made it to MLB. It’s rare for a talented guy like him to get only one opportunity. Hopefully, his next outing will go better. Hopefully, it won’t be against the Yankees...

This should be a warning to Boone - the manager can't be the player's best buddy, he has to lay down the law when needed.

well……….that's too bad....I have been impressed with the way Matheny manages over the last few years....this internal stuff, when there are 25 or more players involved can be a career-wrecker...I hope Mike gets another team some day...
